Vegan Deep Dish Pizza
Thick gluten-free yeast crust filled with layers of vegan cheese, sauteed veggies, and tomato sauce.

01Warm the plant-based milk until lukewarm, add the yeast, sugar, and olive oil, and set aside about 10 minutes to proof. 2. Combine the flour, psyllium husk powder, and salt in a bowl. 3. Add the yeast mixture, stir, knead about 5 minutes, form a dough ball, and let rise in a warm place about 60 minutes until nearly doubled. 4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter. 5. Preheat the oven to 390 degrees F (200 C). 6. Line an 8-inch springform with parchment, place the dough inside, and rest 10 minutes. 7. Pre-bake the dough about 10 minutes while chopping the veggies. 8. Saute the veggies and mushrooms in a little oil over medium heat about 5 minutes, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian spices. 9. Spread half the vegan cheese sauce on the crust, layer on the fried veggies, add the tomato sauce, and top with more vegan cheese. 10. Bake another 20 minutes and serve with fresh herbs.
